lazy sunday lunch
After partying like it was 1999 on Saturday night, Greg & I were ready for a fairly lazy lunch – I’d spent the night dancing to horrific 90s pop & Greg had been playing Golden Eye & Mario Kart on the Nintendo 64 with his high school buddies, (there was a selection of awesome 90s consoles & games at the party).
On Saturday night I’d made us Beef Hash recipe here). It was quite good & we had some leftovers so I decided to turn it into a bit of a brunch meal. I mixed the hash with some passata & reheated it in a fry pan. Once done I served it with a poached egg & salt & pepper. Easy!
I love the flavour of beef & runny egg yolk. That’s probably why I like a good béarnaise sauce with steak. My favourite egg & beef dish is easily from Movida in Melbourne. They do a beautiful dish with thinly sliced air-dried wagyu beef, super creamy mashed potatoes & a poached egg. It is astonishingly good.

Hi Steph, thanks for the link! I usually make a big batch of the hash and beans and freeze for another day. This looks like a great way to use up the leftovers.
