I loved this article on Chinese couturière, Guo Pei, written by Cathy Horyn. Plus the slideshow has some dresses that are just out of this world, my favourite is the blue & white one, it reminds me of the china in my Mum's dinner service.
I saw a link to this site about the construction of Dior's New Look on Gertie's blog some time ago & have gone back & re-read it about 10 times now!
Speaking of Gertie she posted another interesting piece this week on feminism, undergarments & body image. As always many of the comments are as interesting & thoughtful as the post itself.
Now that the serious reading is out of the way, here's some pretty pictures & super quick reads;
